What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance embedded and real-time software in C++, including device drivers and data acquisition pipelines.
• Define technical strategy and long-term vision for embedded architecture, managing technical debt and cross-team dependencies.
• Act as a technical bridge, communicating architectural decisions to Product, Clinical, and Regulatory stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and code quality.
• Ensure software quality through code reviews and testing in strict adherence to the IEC 62304 lifecycle.
• Collaborate with electronics and FPGA teams on hardware-software interfaces and system integration.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in C++ and the development of embedded/real-time software.
• Experience with hardware abstraction layers and hardware bring-up.
• Knowledge of software hazard analysis and traceability in line with ISO 14971 and IEC 62304.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems collaboratively.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in London, UK.
