What you will do

• Develop and deliver firmware for Ring's next-generation camera-centric IoT devices.
• Optimize critical KPIs including battery life, boot time, and system latency.
• Integrate new features with hardware and software services.
• Manage personal backlog and prioritize technical issues.
• Collaborate with global teams across Europe, Asia, and the US.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience (non-internship).
• Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development.
• Experience with a modern OOP language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Expertise in system architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from Cambridge, GBR

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including coding standards, code reviews, and build processes.
