What you will do

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver technically complex software projects for subsea vehicles and associated robotic functions.
• Design and implement software architecture for complex systems from scratch, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Develop high-level system requirements and derive lower-level specifications to guide implementation.
• Act as a technical authority and interface directly with customers to align solutions with business needs.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers while managing resources, budgets, and work loading.
• Establish and instigate processes to ensure industry best practices and software quality are achieved.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Senior Engineer.
• Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
• Expertise in software for industrial, vehicle, or vessel systems, with a broad understanding from embedded to applications.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and knowledge of both Windows and Linux environments.
• Must be able to undergo workforce screening, including Baseline Personnel Security checks and National Security Vetting.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with DDS (Data Distribution Service) and Message Queues (Active MQ, RabbitMQ, ZeroMQ).
• GUI development experience using Qt (6.2 or previous) or .Net GUI frameworks.
• Exposure to IP video, video routing, and Real Time Information via Web Sockets.
• Experience developing and debugging application software in Visual Studio.
