What you will do

• Create and modify AutoCAD drawings to support ship maintenance, modernization, and repair.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in major shipbuilding disciplines such as piping, mechanical, hull, or electrical.
• Perform ship-checks of designs and translate findings into design products.
• Update and maintain released documents, product documentation, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to translate engineering direction into electronic drawings.
• Travel 15-30% to ship locations for planning and execution support.

Requirements

• Significant drafting experience with AutoCAD 2015 or newer.
• Ability to read, draft, modify, and redline ship drawings.
• Must be a US Citizen to obtain and maintain a Secret government security clearance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with the FREEDOM Variant of the Littoral Combat ship and Ship Constructor 3D Modeling.
• Familiarity with NAVSEA drawings and Naval Ship Piping or Electrical Design.
• Experience creating and modifying Ship Installation Drawings.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting.
