What you will do

• Create detailed fire sprinkler system layouts and design drawings using HydraCAD.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, material take-offs, and design validations per NFPA standards.
• Review architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings for system coordination.
• Prepare project submittals, fabrication drawings, and final as-built documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and AHJs.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior designers.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5–10 years of experience in fire sprinkler or fire protection system design.
• Proficiency with HydraCAD, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or Revit.
• Strong understanding of NFPA standards, FM Global requirements, and building codes.
• Ability to independently manage complex design assignments and multiple projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• NICET Level III or IV certification in Water-Based Systems Layout.
