What you will do

  • Own revenue recognition schedules for SaaS subscriptions, usage-based fees, and professional services ensuring full ASC 606 compliance.
  • Review customer contracts to determine treatment for performance obligations, variable consideration, and renewals.
  • Design and implement agentic AI solutions (e.g., Claude Code) to automate invoicing, reconciliations, and revenue workflows.
  • Oversee NetSuite invoicing for recurring and usage-based billing and maintain deferred revenue schedules.
  • Execute month-end close for revenue accounts and deliver variance commentary for executive and board reporting.
  • Develop ASC 606 policies and serve as the primary liaison to external auditors on revenue matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4–7 years of accounting experience with a substantial focus on revenue recognition in a SaaS or tech environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of ASC 606 as applied to subscription models.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship or transfers.
  • Demonstrable ability to leverage agentic AI tools to automate accounting and revenue workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or comparable cloud ERP) and Salesforce.

Nice to have

  • Active CPA with Big 4 or national public accounting experience.
  • Experience with RevPro, Zuora Revenue, Certinia, or similar rev-rec platforms.
  • Digital health background with HIPAA familiarity.
  • Experience supporting a company through rapid growth, venture financing, or IPO readiness.
