Salary: $111,000 – $140,000 annually

What you will do

• Design and launch the national major gifts strategy, including donor segmentation and relationship management frameworks.
• Establish and refine major gift systems, processes, and moves management practices to support sustainable growth.
• Actively manage a portfolio of individual donors and family foundations targeting five, six, and seven-figure investments.
• Coordinate major donor engagement strategies between the CEO, Chief Development Officer, and regional leadership.
• Develop and execute multi-year cultivation and stewardship plans for top prospects.
• Travel up to 50% of the time to build and sustain donor relationships across priority regions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in major gifts fundraising.
• Demonstrated success in building or scaling major gifts efforts and managing donor portfolios.
• Must be based in Washington, DC or the state of California.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time and work outside traditional office hours for events.

• Experience fundraising for policy, advocacy, civil rights, or research-oriented mission-driven organizations.
