Fab Mechanic - Polish - 2nd Shift (Must Be Able to Train on 1st Shift) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Inspect manufactured parts for defects and material-handling damage.
• Clean, scrape, deburr, polish, grit blast, and grind aerospace parts.
• Operate Dremels, die grinders, flex-hones, abrasive wheels, revolving spindles, and grit blast cabinets.
• Change rubberized abrasives and bench-grinder wheels as needed.
• Use compressed air to clean the interior and exterior of parts after polishing.
• Lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 25 pounds occasionally while maintaining reliable attendance.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, one to three months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Ability to perform close-vision work and adjust focus.
• Ability to pass a respirator medical evaluation and fit test before starting respirator duties and annually thereafter.
• Ability to wear a respirator for an average of eight hours per day.
• Availability for the second shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM, with training on the first shift required.
