Machinist - 1st Shift

Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota, United States of America; on-site work at 14000 Technology Dr.

Salary: $26.00–$36.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Perform machining operations on a variety of parts and complete machine setups efficiently.
• Interpret machining prints, routing documentation, work instructions, and machining symbols.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, surface finish, hardness, and material compliance.
• Operate and maintain equipment safely, perform preventive maintenance, and keep the work area organized.
• Communicate quality issues, workload constraints, schedules, and priorities with supervisors and colleagues.
• Cross-train across CNC lathes and mills, cylindrical and surface grinding, and manual lathes and mills.

Requirements

• One year of trade school or three years of applicable machine shop experience.
• Basic machining knowledge, including tolerances, measuring equipment, tooling selection, machine setup, and operation.
• Knowledge of material characteristics, machining techniques, work holding, and fixture use.
• Ability to work from established processes and work instructions.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work overtime and support other workstations when required.
