What you will do

• Build, evaluate, and maintain underwriting and decisioning models across Cash App Borrow and Afterpay.
• Design credit decision frameworks, including modeling, automation, and policy logic to manage credit exposure.
• Run experiments to evaluate model performance, measure impact on approval rates and loss.
• Develop a deep understanding of borrower behavior and portfolio structure to inform model design.
• Build agentic engineering workflows to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to align systems with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science).
• 10+ years of experience applying AI, ML, or statistical modeling in decisioning contexts (credit, risk, fraud).
• Experience with probabilistic models, calibration, and score transformations.
• Strong experimentation skills, including holdout design and lift measurement.
• Proficiency with AI-native development workflows (LLMs, agentic coding tools like Cursor/Copilot).
• Experience explaining complex modeling concepts to senior technical and business stakeholders.
