What you will do

• Design and operate distributed ML systems processing over 1 million documents per day.
• Build and integrate models to extract and classify data from complex, unstructured documents.
• Lead multi-team ML initiatives that deliver sustained business value.
• Establish clear, repeatable ML engineering standards adopted across teams.
• Optimize model inference to meet strict latency requirements for a seamless customer experience.
• Collaborate with product managers and sales teams to translate customer pain points into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Based in the United States (excluding AK, DE, RI, VT, WY).
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of experience with production ML at scale.
• Proven success designing and operating distributed ML systems and data pipelines.
• Deep understanding of reliability engineering and production support.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Clojure, and Ruby.
• Proficiency with PySpark, AWS SageMaker Studio, PyTorch, and HuggingFace.
• Experience with FastAPI for model inference.
