What you will do

• Edit and publish digital stories on deadline, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the brand voice.
• Shape story structure, flow, and tone while integrating multimedia elements.
• Write audience-focused headlines, leads, and display copy.
• Monitor news cycles and trends to identify and assign compelling story angles.
• Collaborate with reporters and producers to develop innovative editorial franchises and series.
• Perform rigorous copy editing and fact-checking to maintain journalistic standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of editing experience in a digital newsroom or publishing environment.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and copyediting skills.
• Strong understanding of digital news production and journalistic standards.
• Proven ability to make complex financial and professional topics accessible to a broad audience.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Background in finance, economics, or financial planning.
• Experience working with certified experts such as CFPs or tax professionals.
• Proficiency in AP style and basic photo editing.
• Experience at a large digital publisher or major financial publication.
