Cost Accountant (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island; applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance. Relocation is not offered.

Annual salary: $81,900–$122,800.

What you will do

• Maintain standard costs in the ERP system and prepare monthly cost entries, reconciliations, and General Ledger support.
• Analyze COGS, production, material, labor, overhead, yield, scrap, rework, freight, and purchase price variances.
• Reconcile inventory accounts, perpetual records, work orders, inventory in transit, WIP accruals, and inventory adjustments.
• Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close materials, including inventory and expense analyses.
• Partner with manufacturing and operations teams to collect cost data, review usage adjustments, and control inventory flows.
• Track inventory, direct labor costs, absorption, evaluations, outside services, and quarterly excess and obsolete inventory activity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of Accounting or Finance experience, including 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with standard costing, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Strong prioritization, follow-through, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Computer skills, including Excel, are required.
• Advanced English and the ability to work on-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island are required. Immigration sponsorship is not available.
