Accounting Manager (Nuclear Manufacturing)

Location: El Segundo, California, United States; 100% onsite at the El Segundo headquarters

Salary: $115,000–$168,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is a startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.

What you will do

• Lead daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, inventory, accruals, and payroll accounting.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial controls.
• Maintain accounting policies and internal controls in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support external audits, system implementations, and process improvements.
• Partner with FP&A, procurement, operations, and HR while leading and mentoring junior accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or ION.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups, plus strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must work 100% onsite at the El Segundo headquarters and be available for extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience in government contracting, technology, or manufacturing.
• Experience with system implementations or upgrades.
• Exposure to multi-entity or global accounting structures.
• Familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 842, and other accounting standards.
