What you will do

• Compile and submit medical record and appeal packets via payer portals, fax, and mail.
• Coordinate with patients to obtain appointments of representative (AORs) for the appeal process.
• Resolve aged medical record and appeal submissions through portal updates and outbound phone calls.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Payer Dispute Resolution, and Market Access teams to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
• Manage denial work queues and assist teammates with specific projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of experience in medical billing or medical records.
• Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
• Understanding of HIPAA and proper handling of protected health information (PHI).
• Working knowledge of health insurance and terminology.
• Must be based in the United States.
