What you will do

• Analyze insurance and patient payments to determine causes of credit balances.
• Identify overpayments and request refunds according to hospital policies and procedures.
• Process payments, refunds, and adjustments to ensure account accuracy and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and report trends regarding cash posting and refunding issues to leadership.
• Develop workflows to improve internal process efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams and partners to resolve outstanding account items.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and reside in the Central timezone.
• 2+ years of experience in reimbursement or accounts receivable within a hospital or central billing office setting.
• Strong knowledge of the full revenue cycle process and business office terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of AS400.
• High-speed internet access (minimum 300 Mbps download speed) and a smartphone for MFA.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and remain professional under high-pressure situations.
