CNC Machinist - Operator/Programmer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerical-control machinery.
• Work from routings, technical drawings, sketches, layout sheets, and written or verbal instructions.
• Maintain machining quality and tolerances within 0.0003 inches.
• Prepare and inspect work using micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Work with stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, and other materials; preset and resharpen tools as needed.
• Follow maintenance and safety procedures, report equipment issues, complete labor records, and maintain an orderly work area.

Requirements

• Previous CNC machining experience is required.
• At least 3 years of CNC machine-tool programming and operating experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent, technical school education, and working machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and read and interpret machine drawings.
• Previous manual machinist experience, numerical-control machining skills, and the ability to perform mathematical calculations and resolve basic technical problems.
• Detail orientation, independent judgment, problem-solving skills, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Day shift: Mazak lathe experience; Haas and DMG lathe experience is a plus.
• Evening shift: Mazak mill experience; Integrex and Haas mill experience is a plus.
