CNC Machinist - Operator/Programmer (Manufacturing): Setting up, programming, editing, and operating CNC lathes, mills, drills, and related machinery with an accent on precision machining, machine parameter adjustments, and material-specific cutting practices. Focus on maintaining .0003-inch tolerances, inspecting parts with precision measuring instruments, and adapting programs across multiple CNC machines.
Location: Pasadena, Texas, USA; onsite. Day and evening shifts are available from Monday through Thursday: 5 a.m.–5 p.m. or 5 p.m.–5 a.m.

What you will do
- Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC lathes, mills, drills, and other numerically controlled machinery.
- Maintain machining quality and tolerances within .0003 inches.
- Read work orders, machine drawings, prints, sketches, and technical instructions.
- Preset and sharpen tools, work with stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, and exotic materials.
- Inspect finished work using micrometers, bore gauges, vernier calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Perform equipment maintenance, report operating issues, complete labor reports, and maintain a safe, orderly work area.
Requirements
- Previous CNC machining experience and at least 3 years of CNC programming and operating experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical school education, and working machinist knowledge or equivalent experience.
- Ability to operate at least two CNC machine tools and understand machine parameters and programming languages.
- Experience reading and interpreting machine drawings, performing mathematical calculations, and resolving basic technical problems.
- Previous manual machining experience, strong attention to detail, independent judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Day shift preference: Mazak lathe experience. Evening shift preference: Mazak mill experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Haas or DMG lathes for the day shift.
- Experience with Integrex or Haas mills for the evening shift.
