TL;DR
Data & Impact Senior Officer (Data & Impact): Supporting delivery of P4F systems strategy, PMIS development, insight and analytics, security and compliance with an accent on data lifecycle, analytics/visualisation, and impact learning across tropical forests and sustainable land use. Focus on building and improving data flows, predictive/forecasting analytics, and integrating qualitative + quantitative research into clear, actionable reporting.

What you will do
- Contribute to development and management of the Project Management Information System (PMIS) to capture, analyse, and report project and programmatic data.
- Maintain and improve the P4F tech stack; pilot new technologies and software; ensure systems comply with internal/external requirements and policies.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting (including annual analytics, performance and learning dashboards) and provide technical support for data quality.
- Apply statistical and exploratory analysis to uncover trends and relationships and develop predictive models/algorithms to forecast spending, outcomes, and performance.
- Support impact and operations analytics, including end-to-end data lifecycle understanding and opportunities to improve data flows, integration, reporting, and organisational learning.
- Coordinate qualitative and quantitative research approaches for programme-wide learning; support MEL activities and geospatial database development and reporting.
Requirements
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with quantitative data analysis and research, visualisation/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, R, Python, SPSS) and data modelling (e.g., PowerQuery, advanced Excel, Microsoft Fabric).
- Project management experience, including private sector-focused development programmes and clients.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to positive impact, ideally with experience in environment, tropical forests, sustainable land use, or agriculture systems programmes.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Data system design and implementation experience.
- Experience with no-code/low-code automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Make).
- Experience working with APIs and connected systems for data integration and reporting.
- MEL experience (theories of change, results frameworks, case-based reporting, data disaggregation).
- Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, or French.
