TL;DR

Data Analyst (Compliance): Turning defined business problems into clean, validated data assets for compliance teams with an accent on SQL optimization and data visualization. Focus on bridging the gap between raw data and business answers through EDA, UAT, and iterative dashboard development.

Location: Hybrid in London, UK (requires 2-3 days onsite per week)

What you will do

  • Collaborate with compliance teams to document user requirements, business rules, and reporting needs.
  • Create and maintain data dictionaries and source-to-target mapping documents.
  • Write and optimize modular SQL queries to transform raw data into analyst-ready tables.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify inconsistencies, null values, or outliers.
  • Build and iterate on data visualizations using Tableau, Mode, or PowerBI based on functional specs.
  • Execute primary tests for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate new data solutions.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar technical-functional role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and either Python or R for handling large volumes of data.
  • Experience building and publishing reports using modern BI tools (Tableau, Mode, or PowerBI).
  • Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Star Schema and Fact vs. Dimension tables.
  • Must be based in London for a hybrid work arrangement (at least 50% in-office monthly).
  • Available for a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC).

Nice to have

  • Experience using AI (LLMs) to accelerate SQL writing, debugging, and documentation.
