Salary: $124,500 – $172,725

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test bench systems.
• Develop and maintain HiL systems plant software and integrate with physics simulation models.
• Configure test hardware including power supplies, actuator modeling, and sensor mapping.
• Manage schedules and vendor relationships for HIL systems.
• Drive optimization of test and validation processes through tooling and automation.
• Lead design reviews and communicate technical decisions to cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ
• Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls
• BS in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience developing hardware-in-the-loop systems
• Proficiency in HIL frameworks such as dSPACE or Speedgoat
• Experience with MATLAB or Python for data processing and analysis

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time simulation systems and FPGA-based hardware
• Background in high-reliability, safety-critical, or regulated industries like aerospace, defense, or nuclear
• Strong understanding of control fundamentals and electrical debugging
