Location: Must be based in the Atlanta metro area. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on role requiring regular in-office/lab time at the Mableton testing facility and test flight field.

Salary: $150,000 – $185,000

What you will do

• Lead QA validation strategy and execute HIL/SIL automated test suites for drone and dock systems.
• Diagnose hardware/software bugs by analyzing raw Linux logs via CLI.
• Author detailed test cases and structure test plans using platforms like Qase.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to challenge architectural designs.
• Establish automated pipelines that feed test results back into tracking systems.
• Participate in real-world customer deployments to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Atlanta metro area.
• 8+ years of QA, test, or systems engineering experience in safety-critical mechatronic systems (robotics, UAVs, or aerospace).
• Strong proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Mastery of Linux systems, log-level debugging, and CLI tools.
• Technical understanding of serial communications (CAN, UART), computer vision, and live data streaming.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CJIS certification, including a fingerprint-based background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with drone/aviation systems or FAA Part 107 certification.
• Familiarity with aviation safety standards (DO-178C, ISO 26262, ASTM).
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS) and visualization tools like Grafana.
• Familiarity with video streaming protocols (RTSP, WebRTC) and cellular data link performance.
