Location: Hybrid: Must be based in or be able to work from Cadishead or Widnes, UK (expectation of at least 3 days in office)

What you will do

• Lead all international trade, customs, import, and export activities across EMEA and global markets to ensure compliant shipments.
• Manage import/export declarations, customs documentation, commercial invoices, and transport documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with global trade controls, sanctions, embargo regulations, and dangerous goods regulations (ADR, IMDG, RID, IATA).
• Drive duty-saving opportunities and optimize costs using Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), duty suspension regimes, and bonded solutions.
• Maintain AEO-related documentation and lead revalidation activities as the primary contact for customs authorities.
• Collaborate with teams in the USA and China to develop trade and customs strategies that strengthen supply chain resilience.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of EU export/customs procedures, global trade compliance, Incoterms, HS classification, and origin rules.
• Proven experience in people management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• English: required.
• Proactive problem-solving ability and a high-attention compliance mindset.

Nice to have

• Customs or trade qualification.
• Proficiency in other languages due to the global nature of the role.
