Senior Hardware Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Hardware Engineer (Hardware): Designing and delivering ultra high-performance electronic products with an accent on end-to-end hardware ownership, including circuit design, BOM creation, and validation. Focus on managing complex power and thermal challenges for high-density SOC-based systems and collaborating across interdisciplinary teams throughout the full product lifecycle.

Location: Onsite in Ottawa, March Road.

Salary: CAD 76,300 – CAD 122,000.

What you will do

• Own all aspects of EE hardware design, including circuit/board development, BOM creation, and validation.
• Provide technical leadership to a small design team in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, and Manufacturing engineers.
• Manage the full product lifecycle from inception to volume production and field support.
• Participate in vendor negotiations and joint development programs with partner engineering teams.
• Support customer trials and resolve field issues to ensure product reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of related experience in hardware design.
• Experience with large high-powered SOCs based on advanced silicon and packaging technologies.
• Proficiency with precision scopes, analyzers, and development/validation tools.
• Expertise in power and thermal management for PCBs with 1kW+ footprints.
• Knowledge of high-speed and high-density signaling with SerDes rates of 112G+.
