Associate Veterinarian (Veterinary)

What you will do

• Perform physical examinations, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
• Diagnose pet conditions, explain findings, and present treatment plans to clients.
• Provide preventive-care education, including vaccinations and nutritional recommendations.
• Maintain accurate client and patient medical and surgical records and support follow-up care.
• Develop the paraprofessional team and support Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants with escalations.
• Follow operating, safety, compliance, and continuing-education requirements.

Requirements

• DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
• Active state veterinary license in good standing, DEA license, and other required state credentials.
• 0–2 years of experience in general medicine and surgery.
• Strong listening, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with veterinary professionals and work with empathy, integrity, accountability, and a customer-service focus.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and lift up to 50–70 pounds, with team assistance for heavier loads.

Nice to have

• Two years of supervised experience with veterinary radiation machines.
