Practice Team Veterinarian (Veterinary Medicine)

Location: Upper East Side, New York City; on-site

Salary: $195,000–$210,000 base salary annually, plus equity, bonus, and 12–20% variable compensation paid quarterly based on individual and practice performance.

What you will do

• Diagnose and treat pets with illnesses and injuries and counsel clients on pet care.
• Directly manage, mentor, and develop a team of 1–5 veterinarians.
• Recruit, onboard, retain, and support veterinary talent in partnership with medical and talent leadership.
• Coordinate doctor scheduling and clinical coverage with operations.
• Serve as the clinical contact for escalated medical questions and ensure access to surgeries and doctor appointments.
• Monitor medical quality, client satisfaction, record keeping, production, financial performance, controlled substances, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent.
• Active state veterinary and DEA licenses required.
• 5+ years of veterinary experience required.
• Experience managing teams and mentoring veterinarians.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to high standards of medicine, professional ethics, growth, and continuous improvement.
