TL;DR
Sr. Staff Field Application Engineer (Optical Module): Providing pre and post-sales technical support for optical module design-in, bring-up, and validation with an accent on PAM4 DSP, TIA/Driver, and AEC/ACC. Focus on solving real-time hardware and software debugging issues, conducting SI/PI reviews, and accelerating customer time-to-quality.

What you will do

  • Manage pre- and post-sales support for customer-facing design-in, bring-up, validation, and debug.
  • Align customer design requirements with technology and assist in proposal development.
  • Perform SI/PI reviews (topology, vias, return paths, decap strategy) and correlate lab results with models.
  • Provide onsite support for real-time problem solving, including HW/SW debugging and system bring-up.
  • Train customers and distributor FAEs on product implementation and design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8–13 years or Master's degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with PAM4 SerDes, optical modules, TIA/Driver front-ends, and AEC/ACC hardware.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English.
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. laws (EAR).

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with C and Python.
