Principal Application Engineer (Actran)

What you will do

• Work with Sales to identify and scope opportunities for acoustic simulation solutions.
• Plan, execute, and manage technical evaluations and customer benchmarks.
• Support customer projects through onboarding, ramp-up, and ongoing technical engagement.
• Deliver basic and advanced training sessions, presentations, and product demonstrations.
• Provide expert technical support and address customer queries.
• Collaborate with R&D, Sales, and Marketing on customer requirements, product improvements, and technology direction.

Requirements

• Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience in acoustic simulation or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of acoustic theory and simulation methodologies, including aeroacoustics, structural acoustics, and fluid acoustics.
• Experience with Actran and familiarity with VA One, COMSOL, and Fidelity Charles.
• Knowledge of acoustic-structural coupling, NVH studies, acoustic optimization, performance prediction, frequency spectrum analysis, and system-level validation.
• Knowledge of multiphysics coupling across acoustic, structural, thermal, and fluid domains.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, plus scripting experience with Python, Shell, or similar tools.
