Principal Application Engineer-Adams (MSC Adams)

What you will do

• Consult with customers to understand system dynamics and develop technical solutions using MSC Adams.
• Deliver software demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC) studies, benchmark evaluations, and feasibility analyses.
• Support projects involving multibody dynamics, vehicle dynamics, suspension, steering, and powertrain analysis.
• Provide technical support for model creation, subsystem assembly, solver execution, and result interpretation.
• Conduct customer training programs, hands-on workshops, and best-practice sharing sessions.
• Collaborate with sales and R&D teams to support business development and multi-software simulation solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Vehicle, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related disciplines.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Hands-on experience with MSC Adams and multibody dynamics simulation workflows.
• Solid understanding of dynamics, kinematics, rigid body mechanics, and finite element fundamentals.
• Ability to independently perform model setup, solver configuration, and report generation.
• Based in Shanghai and willing to travel occasionally for customer support.

Nice to have

• Experience in chassis development, robotics, or industrial equipment simulation.
• Knowledge of co-simulation with Nastran, Marc, or Simulink.
• Experience with other MSC software solutions such as Romax.
• Basic programming or automation experience using Python, Adams/View scripting, or MATLAB.
• Previous experience in industrial software technical support or customer-facing consulting.
