Sr Principal Application Engineer (MSC Marc)

What you will do

• Develop technical solutions and conduct Proof of Concept (POC) studies, benchmark evaluations, and feasibility analyses using MSC Marc.
• Provide technical support for daily software usage, model setup, solver debugging, and simulation workflow optimization.
• Support customer projects involving nonlinear simulations such as large deformation, contact, plasticity, creep, and thermo-mechanical coupling.
• Conduct customer training programs, hands-on workshops, and best-practice sharing sessions.
• Develop industry-specific simulation case studies, troubleshooting guides, and technical knowledge repositories.
• Collaborate with sales and technical teams on product promotion and customer engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Vehicle Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Solid understanding of finite element analysis (FEA) principles and nonlinear simulation methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with MSC Marc and its simulation workflow.
• Proficiency in material, geometric, and contact nonlinearity, as well as thermo-mechanical coupled analysis.
• Ability to independently perform model preparation, mesh generation, and result interpretation.

Nice to have

• Experience in battery, composite materials, plastics, electronics packaging, or structural simulation projects.
• Knowledge of Digimat composite material modeling and fiber orientation mapping workflows.
• Experience with Nastran, Dytran, Patran, ANSA, or other CAE software solutions.
• Previous experience in industrial software technical support or application engineering.
