Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Salary: $130,000 - $140,000

What you will do

• Design and implement self-directed cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, optimizing for cost, reliability, and efficiency.
• Build reusable libraries, modules, and packages for other infrastructure engineers to integrate into their projects.
• Collaborate across teams to consolidate and simplify DevOps tools and services to improve developer experience.
• Develop automated test and deployment pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small projects or temporary team structures.
• Ensure all shipped software meets security, SLA, and performance requirements in collaboration with government partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Terraform, Terragrunt, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD.
• Deep expertise in AWS Cloud Services, including EKS and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in HAProxy and OpenResty.
• U.S. citizenship or current legal authorization to work and reside in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain required government background investigations.

Nice to have

• Comfort with both DevOps and SRE functions.
• Expertise in observability using Datadog.
• Experience with security tooling such as Trivy and Aqua.
• Knowledge of FedRAMP/ATO processes.
