What you will do

• Own and operate large-scale AWS EKS production environments across multiple regions and regulated environments.
• Manage and upgrade EKS control planes, data planes, managed node groups, AMIs, and Kubernetes add-ons.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues related to nodes, workloads, networking, autoscaling, and cluster health.
• Optimize Kubernetes autoscaling capabilities using Karpenter, Cluster Autoscaler, HPA, and VPA.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration automation for EKS, IAM, and networking.
• Manage secure cluster operations including IAM, RBAC, network policies, and compliance controls.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on experience operating AWS EKS in large-scale production environments (multiple regions, thousands of nodes).
• Expertise in Kubernetes operations, including scheduling, networking, node lifecycle, and cluster upgrades.
• Strong understanding of AWS core services: IAM, VPC, security groups, load balancing, EBS/EFS, and CloudWatch.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, or Crossplane.
