Technical Project Manager (IR Data Products)

Location: Hybrid in San Jose, California; on-site three days per week. The role requires eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled information under ITAR/EAR regulations.

Salary: $175,000–$208,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Plan and roadmap improvements and new capabilities for the infrared data product processing pipeline.
• Define objectives, scope, milestones, success criteria, schedules, and delivery plans with engineering and product stakeholders.
• Track dependencies, progress, risks, blockers, resources, and capacity across multiple teams.
• Coordinate software, hardware, science, and product teams from early concept through delivery and software release readiness.
• Provide concise updates on progress, risks, changes, decisions, and delivery expectations.
• Improve project management workflows, processes, tools, and decision-making practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer or in a similar technical role.
• 3+ years of experience managing or coordinating software development projects.
• Technical background in cloud computing, data pipeline processing, data science, software development methods, tools, and infrastructure.
• Experience leading cross-functional planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication across multiple teams.
• Must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled information under the stated ITAR/EAR conditions.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, robotics, logistics, or other high-reliability, real-time software domains.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation, architecture proposals, or requirements specifications.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, OKR frameworks, or goal-setting practices.
• Experience working effectively in distributed team environments.
