What you will do

• Own the end-to-end software capitalization process, including project evaluation and amortization schedules.
• Partner with Engineering and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely collection of data for capitalization.
• Manage the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and performing variance analyses.
• Oversee high-visibility accounting areas such as prepaids and accruals for professional services and operating expenses.
• Modernize accounting workflows through automation and artificial intelligence to increase operational efficiency.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of accounting experience in public accounting or a publicly traded company.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and general ledger accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analyzing and presenting financial data.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license issued by the appropriate state agency.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
• Experience with software capitalization within a technology environment.
• Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, or similar ERP and procurement systems.
