Salary: $78,000 - $107,250 + 15% incentive

What you will do

• Confirm coverage by reviewing policies and claim documents; analyze coverage positions and communicate them.
• Prepare coverage position letters (without outside coverage counsel) and refer suspicious losses to SIU.
• Conduct, coordinate, and direct investigations into loss facts and extent of damages.
• Evaluate coverage, liability, and damages to determine insured exposure; set reserves within authority or recommend reserve changes.
• Negotiate, settle, and manage claims typically in litigation within authority; represent hirify.global at mediations and trials.
• Direct assignments to experts and outside counsel; provide training and act as a technical referral point for other claims team members.

Requirements

• US Work Authorization required; hirify.global does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Minimum 7 years of claims handling experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Must have or be eligible to receive a claims adjuster license.
• Strong knowledge of tort and contract law.
• Strong litigation management skills, including directing defense attorneys and controlling expenses.
• Excellent written and oral communication, analytical/problem-solving, and organization/time management skills.

Nice to have

• JD, advanced degree, or focused technical degree.
• Successful achievement of industry designations (INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU) or participation in industry training (e.g., CLM Claim College, Munich Re Training, FDCC).
