Workers Comp Senior Claims Representative (Insurance)

Location: Fully remote from the USA, or hybrid from the Richfield, Ohio office four days per week with one remote day. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $80,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a workers compensation claims inventory and evaluate compensability and liability.
• Plan and conduct investigations to confirm coverage, liability, compensability, and damages.
• Determine and negotiate settlements and reserves within assigned authority.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when required.
• Authorize timely claim payments and maintain complete claim files and correspondence.
• Communicate coverage and settlement information to insureds, claimants, and external partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management and insurance, finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of property and casualty claims-handling experience.
• Strong knowledge of insurance policies, coverage, claims procedures, industry laws, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads, protect confidential information, and resolve claims in a timely manner.
• US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience handling claims in any New England state.
• Completed or ongoing professional designation progress, such as Associate in Claims (AIC).
