Baseball Tech Manager - Data Systems (Sports Tech)

What you will do

• Own production deployments and release validation for Baseball post-game data systems and related components.
• Manage data reprocessing workflows and ensure accurate delivery of feeds to internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain observability dashboards using Datadog and AWS to monitor system health and data quality.
• Provide third-line technical support for production incidents and lead root-cause analysis (RCA) to improve tooling.
• Build scripts and automation tools to reduce manual operational effort and increase scalability of data delivery.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and training materials for Tech and Operations users.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical operations, DevOps, platform support, or data operations.
• Must be based in Atlanta, GA.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services, data pipelines, APIs, and databases.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or AWS CloudWatch.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting for operational tooling and data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience in sports technology, broadcast, or real-time data delivery for MLB, MiLB, or NCAA.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ, Keycloak, ECS, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, S3, or Lambda.
• Experience with tracking platforms like Hawk-Eye or KinaTrax.
• Background in release governance and change-management processes.
