Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Torrance, California or Washington, D.C.; U.S. work authorization required under ITAR

hirify.global builds space infrastructure and a global network of phased-array ground stations for reliable, real-time satellite communications supporting national security, global connectivity, and disaster response.

What you will do

• Own and operate components across the infrastructure stack, including CI/CD, application platforms, cloud/IaC, networking, observability, and security tooling.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform, Helm, and GitOps practices.
• Participate in on-call operations, resolve production incidents, and lead post-incident reviews.
• Partner with security engineering and compliance on Vault, IAM, SIEM, and evidence-collection controls.
• Automate recurring manual work and maintain runbooks, design documents, and system documentation.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, product engineering, and ground station operations teams.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of production infrastructure experience in SRE, DevOps, platform, network, or systems engineering.
• Working knowledge of Linux, networking, AWS or equivalent cloud platforms, Terraform, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability tools.
• End-to-end ownership of a production system, including design, implementation, and operation.
• Production on-call experience with measurable reliability outcomes.
• Programming ability in Python, Go, or a similar language for automation and integrations.
• Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance and meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Depth in networking, security engineering, compliance controls, observability, application platforms, CI/CD, cloud architecture, or on-premises and hardware-adjacent operations.
• Experience with technologies such as FortiGate, BGP, IPsec, Vault, Okta, SIEM, Prometheus, Grafana, EKS, k3s, ArgoCD, multi-account AWS, GovCloud, or Cloudflare.
