Senior Software Engineer, DevOps (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid — New York, NY

Salary: $195K–$220K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Architect and maintain cloud-native infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, GKE, and Cloud Run.
• Build multi-region, serverless, and containerized systems focused on scalability, resiliency, performance, availability, and cost efficiency.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline.
• Implement monitoring, observability, and log management with Datadog and CloudWatch Logs.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to integrate DevOps practices and maintain infrastructure security and compliance.
• Troubleshoot production and non-production infrastructure and application issues and drive cloud cost optimization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, ideally in SaaS or fintech.
• Expertise in AWS and working knowledge of GCP, including relevant cloud services and GKE.
• Proficiency with AWS CDK in TypeScript or Python and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, serverless architectures, and container orchestration.
• Experience with monitoring and log management tools such as Datadog and CloudWatch Logs, plus knowledge of cloud security, networking, and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience; scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Nice to have

• SaaS experience with SOC 2 or PCI DSS regulatory knowledge.
• Strong SRE experience managing highly available systems.
• AWS or GCP certifications.
• Active GitHub profile or open-source contributions.
