What you will do

• Build and run linear and non-linear finite element models on a powerful HPC platform.
• Perform structural simulation of complex systems, including static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analysis.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve engineering problems using engineering fundamentals.
• Develop and evolve simulation processes to extend the efficiency and reach of simulation.
• Collaborate with design and development engineers to align analysis scope with engineering intent.
• Communicate results clearly in verbal and written form to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering subject, plus academic or industrial experience in structural simulation.
• In-depth understanding of structural simulation fundamentals using finite element analysis.
• Experience simulating complex structural systems and sound engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with internal combustion engines and rotating/other machinery.
• Ability to perform complex assignments and solve engineering problems.
• Ability to present technical information effectively (including using Microsoft PowerPoint) to senior staff and stakeholders.
