RF Consultant (Wireless Communication)

What you will do

• Design, test, and optimize RF circuits, modules, and subsystems for wireless communication applications.
• Evaluate RF performance through signal integrity, power, noise, and antenna measurements.
• Support system integration and troubleshoot RF issues in prototypes and production units.
• Perform laboratory measurements with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, and related equipment.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and test summaries for internal and client review.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and system engineering teams on RF requirements, compliance testing, and certification.

Requirements

• Approximately three years of experience in RF engineering or wireless communication development.
• Practical experience with spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, and related RF test equipment.
• Understanding of impedance matching, filters, modulation, propagation, and antenna theory.
• Experience with ADS, HFSS, or similar RF simulation tools; ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Fluent English and Japanese required for the Tokyo-based role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills are expected.
