Service Engineer (Pharma Machinery)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; extensive travel within Japan and occasional travel to headquarters abroad for FAT and training.

hirify.global is an international technology group whose Pharma business provides machinery and services for pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing, including inspection, packaging, material handling, and isolator solutions.

What you will do

• Install, commission, validate, convert, troubleshoot, and maintain pharmaceutical machinery, with a focus on automatic inspection machines.
• Support sales and project management activities, including participation in customer meetings.
• Prepare technical reports and document customer complaints for internal and external stakeholders.
• Train customers on equipment and service procedures.
• Coordinate with product headquarters to clarify technical issues and attend internal or on-the-job training in Japan and abroad.

Requirements

• Completed vocational training in a technical field, preferably mechatronics, electrical engineering, or information electronics.
• At least three years of field service experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Good understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, GMP, IQ, OQ, and validation processes.
• Strong customer and service orientation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Native-level Japanese and good written and spoken English required.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within Japan and occasionally abroad.

Nice to have

• Experience with inspection, sterile filling, primary packaging, or secondary packaging equipment.
• German language skills.
