Process Support Engineer II (Semiconductor)

Location: Hiroshima, Japan. On-site customer support is required, with travel approximately 25% of the time. Relocation eligible.

What you will do

• Provide customer support through on-site installations, system diagnosis, servicing, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.
• Work with customers and R&D teams to develop and qualify advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Design hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE), analyze results statistically, and prepare technical reports.
• Troubleshoot complex process and equipment problems, perform root cause analyses, and resolve customer product issues.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to achieve technical objectives and build trusted relationships.
• Apply knowledge of semiconductor processes and customer requirements to evaluate solutions across multiple technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• English communication proficiency is required.
• Ability to support on-site installations, equipment service, troubleshooting, and customer-facing process engineering activities.

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
