Field Application Engineer (GC&GCMS)

Location: Hachioji, Japan. The role includes customer-site access, on-site troubleshooting, and travel 75% of the time.

What you will do

• Provide scientific and technical expertise during pre-sales activities, including customer requirements analysis, sample analysis, demonstrations, benchmarks, and competitive positioning.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, seminars, conference sessions, and e-seminars.
• Provide wet-lab support and data analysis in clinical laboratory environments when required.
• Recommend solutions, integrate products and applications into customer environments, and verify that they function according to specifications.
• Deliver remote and on-site troubleshooting and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with sales partners, management, R&D, and product marketing while documenting post-sales support inquiries and complaints according to regulatory and quality policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience for entry into this level.
• Postgraduate qualifications, certifications, or licenses may be required.
• Consent to customer and vendor credentialing requirements is required for access to customer sites.
• Credentialing may require identification, proof of relevant certification, and compliance with customer health and safety requirements.
