Senior Accountant (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States. hirify.global is a 100% distributed team, with an optional Boston office.

Salary: $112,500–$148,500 USD per year.

What you will do

• Prepare financial statements, reconciliation schedules, flux analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis for assigned accounting areas.
• Research and document technical accounting hirify.globalions for complex and non-routine transactions.
• Lead accounting projects and system changes from planning through delivery.
• Own internal controls, identify deficiencies, and implement process improvements and automation.
• Partner with FP&A, Payroll, Tax, AP/AR, Engineering/IT, and internal and external auditors.
• Mentor less experienced teammates and present accounting analysis to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Independent experience running month-end close and preparing financial statements for multiple areas with limited review.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a related ERP, including journal entries, reconciliations, saved searches, and close management.
• Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, nested logic, pivot tables, and array formulas.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to clearly explain accounting decisions.
• Understanding of people, process, and system controls, plus experience leading a project or process improvement.
• Day-to-day experience using an AI tool for analysis, automation, or documentation, with sound judgment when validating its output.

Nice to have

• Experience extending NetSuite and AI tooling through saved searches, workflows, or scripting.
• Experience with revenue, billing, subledger, or other accounting-adjacent systems.
• Familiarity with hirify.global’s entity structure, close calendar, policies, and connected business systems.
• Experience creating large project plans, estimating work, and communicating delivery confidence.
