Lead Revenue Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end order-to-cash process, including order creation, invoicing, collections, cash application, and accounts receivable.
• Manage revenue recognition under ASC 606, including monthly journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and technical accounting schedules.
• Lead billing and revenue system implementations and define accounting requirements with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Build automation workflows for invoicing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting, including the use of AI.
• Partner with Deal Desk, Product, and Engineering on new SKU launches and operational readiness.
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, sales tax reporting, financial audits, and customer collections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including billing, accounts receivable, and revenue accounting at a high-growth SaaS company.
• Working knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Experience building accounting processes, systems, and automations for process improvement.
• Experience with NetSuite and modern billing and collections systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or active progress toward CPA licensure.
• Public accounting experience.
• Exposure to capitalized commissions, internal-use software, lease accounting under ASC 842, or financial statement audits.
