What you will do

• Build and run reliable ingestion pipelines from all sources into ClickHouse.
• Model raw feeds into clean, documented tables, including entity resolution.
• Create a canonical source-of-truth library for metrics and dashboard definitions.
• Structure data models to be efficiently queryable by both humans and AI agents.
• Implement freshness checks, quality tests, and alerts to ensure data trustworthiness.
• Collaborate with engineering on schemas and perform ad-hoc deep-dive analyses.

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of experience in data or analytics engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with ETL tooling (Airbyte, Fivetran, Dagster, dbt) and orchestration.
• Practical experience with OLAP warehouses (ClickHouse, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift).
• Proven expertise in data modeling.
• Must be based in San Francisco for on-site work.

Nice to have

• Experience as the first data hire or building a data platform from scratch.
• Specific expertise in ClickHouse materialized views and performance tuning.
• Experience with multi-source identity and entity resolution.
• Knowledge of B2B SaaS operational data or CRM/field-service tools.
