What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of software engineers, providing technical guidance and performance management.
• Drive execution of embedded firmware, embedded Linux, and middleware projects aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee the development of embedded Linux platforms, including Yocto build systems, kernel customization, and device driver development.
• Partner with electrical, mechanical, and flight test teams to integrate hardware and software for product validation.
• Implement and drive software quality through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes.
• Balance product delivery with technical risk and long-term platform maintainability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
• Strong professional experience developing embedded software in C and C++.
• Expertise in building software for robotics, aerospace, or autonomous systems.
• Deep understanding of embedded Linux, Yocto Project, BSP development, and kernel configuration.
• Hands-on experience with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet, and PCIe.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident; sponsorship is not available (ITAR/EAR restriction).

Nice to have

• Experience with PX4, ArduPilot, MAVLink, or related robotics middleware.
• Experience with ARM-based embedded processors and microcontrollers.
• Knowledge of motor control systems, ESC integration, and BDShot protocols.
• Experience with SIL, HIL, or simulation-based testing environments.
