Principal Product Quality Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Own product quality governance and sign-off from proposal approval through production release, high-volume manufacturing, and end-of-life.
• Define and execute product quality plans, quality targets, critical-to-quality requirements, risk mitigation, and validation strategies.
• Lead reliability qualification across development, validation, and mass-production phases.
• Establish manufacturing quality controls and act as the primary quality escalation owner for FAB and OSAT suppliers.
• Lead failure analysis, root-cause investigations, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Represent quality risks and status in executive and customer-facing forums while mentoring junior product quality engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, materials, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in product quality, reliability, manufacturing quality, or supplier quality.
• Experience owning product quality across multiple lifecycle phases.
• Strong background in qualification, manufacturing processes, and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Applicants must be eligible to access U.S. export-controlled technology; export license review may be required before employment.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor devices, advanced packaging, photonics, or system-level products.
• Familiarity with reliability qualification and field quality metrics.
• Experience driving PCNs, change control, and supplier governance.
