What you will do

• Prepare quarterly tax provisions using the AETR method and manage tax balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and handle financial statement disclosures for legal entities.
• Prepare and review federal, state, provincial, and local income tax returns.
• Manage tax audits, resolve inquiries from tax authorities, and maintain transfer pricing documentation.
• Support tax planning and due diligence for non-standard transactions and mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with Finance AI leaders to evaluate and implement AI tools to accelerate efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with corporate tax provision and compliance.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of US and Canadian income tax laws and US GAAP (ASC 740).
• Proficiency with NetSuite and income tax compliance software such as OneSource.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, sumifs, v-lookups, index formulas).
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with Canadian SR&ED and US R&D tax credit claims.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as Dust, Notion AI, and ChatGPT.
